Manchester, N.H : Two people seriously injured in a two-car crash on Kelley Street on Manchester's West Side on Tuesday morning, Nov 24, 2015

Two people were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a two-car crash that shut down the Biron Bridge on Kelley Street on Manchester's West Side.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicated that a 43-year-old Manchester woman driving a Chevrolet Astro Van east across the bridge crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a Toyota Yaris driven by a 28-year-old Manchester woman.

Fire officials said one person in each car had to be extricated from the vehicles. One woman suffered two broken legs and possibly a broken pelvis. She was in critical condition, officials said.

The woman rescued from the other vehicle was unconscious when emergency crews arrived, but officials said she regained consciousness as she was being removed from the vehicle. Officials said she was seriously injured.

Police said the collision was still under investigation.
