Mamalahoa highway Highway has reopened following a traffic accident this morning.

The Hawaii Police Department reports the highway, known as Highway 190 or upper road, is was closed for a short while around 10 a.m. by mile marker 29, which is near Makalei Golf Club.

Mamalahoa Highway is the main highway between Kailua-Kona and Waimea.

No further information is available on the accident at this time.
