Los Angeles , CA : Police arrest suspected drunk driver who fled after hitting man snd his leg injured on Monday , April 13th 2015

Los Angeles police have arrested a suspected drunk driver who fled the scene after running over a pedestrian, severing his leg.

Officer Mike Lopez says the woman was taken into custody Sunday evening after leading police on a brief high-speed chase and crashing into two parked vehicles near South Los Angeles.

City News Service reports the victim remains hospitalized early Monday after losing his leg.

Police say the suspect, who was not identified, could face charges including hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
