A 33-year-old Texas woman died after a tire blew out and a car flipped several times Tuesday afternoon in Roswell, police said.

Sandra Soria, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:15 p.m. after the crash on U.S. Route 70 west, state police said.

The Canutillo, Texas, woman was a passenger in a car driven by 35-year-old Ana Maria Soria of Amarillo, Texas. Ana Maria Soria, 11-year-old Luis Lopez and 12-year-old Lorenzo Lopez suffered serious injuries and were flown to the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Alfredo Soria, 72, Ana Laura Soria, 17, and Jessie Soria, 13, were also in the car. They were listed as stable at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
