Fruit Cove, FL : Angelo Potignano, 71, dies after single-vehicle crash on State Road 13, near Race Track Road on Tuesday, July 19, 2016

A man died after a single-vehicle crash in Fruit Cove Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers identified the victim as Angelo Potignano, 71, of Jacksonville

The wreck was reported just after 3 p.m. on northbound State Road 13, near Race Track Road.

FHP Sgt. Dylan Bryan said the car crashed into a tree after the driver had a medical issue.

Potignano was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

The 71-year-old passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
