OGDEN, UT : A short police chase in Ogden ended with a car crash on Saturday, December, 2nd 2017

A short police chase in Ogden ended with a car crash and one man in custody.

According to Lt. Tyler Hanson with the Ogden Police Department, around 1:05 p.m. OPD officers briefly pursued a vehicle after it failed to stop for police. After a brief chase, the car crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of 2550 South and Pennsylvania Avenue in Ogden.

Following the crash, one man — whom police say was driving the vehicle — was taken into custody. Hanson would not say exactly why the suspect was arrested.

Around 4:20 p.m., Hanson said the man arrested following the crash was being interviewed by police.

The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries in the crash.
