Missoula, MT : Polson man died of injuries in motorcycle crash on Montana Highway 200, just east of Clearwater Junction on Friday, March 20, 2015

A Polson man who was injured in an motorcycle crash on March 20 died Saturday at St. Patrick Hospital after succumbing to his injuries.

Dino Ray Combs, 52, suffered a spinal fracture that made it impossible for him to breathe on his own, Missoula County coroner Rob Taylor said.

Combs crashed one mile east of Clearwater Junction on Montana Highway 200, Taylor said.

Taylor said he believed the crash occurred when Combs hit a deer on his motorcycle. The Missoula Highway Patrol trooper who investigated the crash was unavailable to comment.
