ATLANTA, GA : I-75 South shut down near Canton Road in Cobb County due to wreck on Wednesday, 31st January 2024

Lanes of Interstate 75 southbound are back open in Cobb County after a multi-vehicle injury crash Wednesday morning had lanes blocked for nearly 90 minutes.

It happened just past Canton Road near Allgood Road around 9:45 a.m.

Marietta Police said two cars were involved in a “minor accident” and pulled off to the left shoulder. A third car, drove on the shoulder, striking one of the cars and forcing it into the other. That car then traveled across lanes before resting on the right-hand shoulder, according to police.

The man in the third car was taken to the hospital in critical condition with “life-threatening injuries.” Another person was also taken to the hospital.
