-A car plowed through the front of the Wendy's fast-food restaurant in Key Largo late Tuesday afternoon.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol reported the crash at the restaurant at mile marker 99.7 bayside just before 4 p.m. How the car went into the front of the restaurant since the Wendy's faces U.S. 1 isn't clear.

Two Wendy's employees were injured and taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier, said employee Jackie Simpson.
