NEWTOWN, CT : Crash, vehicle fire closes lanes on I-84 west in Newtown on Tuesday, 17th September 2024

A crash that included a vehicle fire shut down lanes of Interstate 84 in Newtown.

The state Department of Transportation said one lane was open on the westbound side of the highway between exits 10 and 9.

The scene has since cleared.

The crash was reported around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
