Branson, MO : 3-year-old child died in a three-car crash on Gretna Road near Deer Valley Road on Sunday evening, March 20, 2016
A Springfield toddler who died in a car crash in Branson Sunday has been named.
According to a statement from the city, 3-year-old Danielle Bolin was riding in a vehicle that was hit by another car, knocking it into oncoming traffic.
According to the statement from the city, just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Branson Police, and Branson Fire and Rescue responded to the crash on Gretna Road near Deer Valley Road. Justin Bolin, of Springfield, and Daisy Marks, of Branson, were both driving northbound on Gretna Road when their vehicles collided. The collision caused Bolin’s 2015 Sabaru to cross the median where it hit a southbound 2014 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Jonathan Pilgrim of Benton, Arkansas.
Bolin was accompanied by his 3-year-old daughter Danielle and his mother Nancy, of Ozark. Pilgrim was accompanied by his wife JoAnne, and their two young sons.
Danielle Bolin died as a result of the crash, according to the city. She was in a child safety seat, according to the statement. Daisy Marks, JoAnne Pilgrim and one of her young sons were taken to Cox Medical Center Branson for injuries, and have since then been released. Nancy Bolin was transported to a hospital in Springfield where she is currently being treated for injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by Branson police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
