FAIRFIELD, TX : DPS School bus driver taken to hospital following early morning crash in Fairfield on Monday, 25th March 2024

A Fairfield ISD school bus crashed into a utility pole Monday morning, resulting in the driver being taken to a nearby hospital, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Around 7 a.m., DPS Troopers responded to a reported crash on FM-488 near CR 232, northeast of Fairfield. According to DPS, a school bus that was traveling eastbound veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
