A motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a tractor-trailer on an interstate highway in northern New Jersey.
State police tell NJ.com that 41-year-old Mark Candelario of Elmwood Park was riding the motorcycle in the left lane of westbound Route 80 in Lodi when the crash occurred in the local lanes around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Candelario apparently failed to maintain his lane and struck the tractor-trailer, which was traveling in the center lane. He was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The 34-year-old tractor-trailer driver was not injured in the accident.
No charges have been filed.
