PITTSBURGH, PA : Woman killed in early-morning hit-and-run on West End Bridge on Friday, 26th January 2024

Pittsburgh police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in the city’s Chateau neighborhoodA man called 911 saying he saw a woman not moving in the parking lot on North Point Drive.

A dispatcher said, “Caller is a third party reporting that while walking under the bridge to go to work, he noticed a female laying in the parking lot next to the construction site. She’s not moving. He tried yelling several times. There was no response.”

First responders found the woman dead in a parking lot below the north side of the West End Bridge. Police say she had significant injuries, including to her head.
