Hampton, VA : 60-year-old Gloria J. Ford died following a crash involving a school bus in Hampton on Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2016

A woman has been killed following a crash involving a school bus in Hampton.

Hampton police said in a news release that 60-year-old Gloria J. Ford died after her car and a Hampton City school bus collided on Wednesday afternoon.

Ford was pronounced dead at a hospital. The bus driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say no students were on the bus at the time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
