Hermanville, MS : One person killed, children injured in Copiah County accident on Sunday, August 7, 2016

Corporal Eric Henry says MHP is on the scene of a deadly accident in Copiah County.

Officials have identified the deceased as 31-year-old Jenice Harris of Jackson. We're told she died at the scene of the crash.

Corporal Henry said a 13-year-old girl and four-year-old girl were passengers in the Chevrolet Impala.

The 13-year-old was transported by ambulance to UMMC with serious injuries. The four-year-old was airlifted to UMMC with life threatening injuries.

Henry said the Impala was traveling east on MS 18 near Carpenter Road when Harris ran off the road and collided with a tree.
