THURMONT, MD : Thurmont man killed in US 15 crash in Frederick County, Md. on Saturday, 17th August 2019

A 37-year-old Thurmont man was found dead Sunday morning following a vehicle crash on southbound U.S. 15, according to Maryland State Police.

It was discovered that the driver, Jeffrey Brookes Ridenour was ejected from the 2017 Chevrolet van, which was found at the 32 mile-marker, state police said.

Ridenour was pronounced dead by medics, according to state police, who responded at 4:21 a.m.

A cause of the crash is under investigation, state police said.
