Pedestrian killed in Vernon Parish crash near Lake Charles Louisiana

A pedestrian was killed late Tuesday in a Vernon Parish crash, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers say they responded to the crash around 10 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 171 north of Leesville.

It involved involved a 2005 Ford F-350, driven by April C. Prince, 33, of Leesville, and a pedestrian, identified as Clifford D. Zeno, 60, of Leesville.The Ford was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 171 when it struck Zeno.

Troopers said Zeno was walking in the southbound outside lane of travel at the time of the collision.Prince was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured, according to troopers.Zeno was wearing dark-colored clothing at the time of the collision. He was pronounced dead.
