Madison,SD : Sunday accident leaves two injured on April, sunday 16th 2017
Personnel with the South Dakota Highway Patrol reported that two persons received serious injuries from a one-vehicle accident that occurred last Sunday evening on a roadway between Chester and Colton.
Area first-responders answered an emergency call at 8:11 p.m. for an accident that occurred 3 miles south of Chester near the intersection of 244th St. and 464th Ave.
Authorities have reported that Brandon Bedell, 17, of Madison was driving a 2014 Toyota Scion northbound on 464th Ave. and lost control of the vehicle while driving around a curve. The Toyota carrying Bedell and a 19-year-old male passenger rolled multiple times.
Bedell was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He received serious, nonlife-threatening injuries and was transported to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls
The male passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, was not ejected from the Scion. He also received serious nonlife-threatening injuries.
In the days after the accident, the S.D. Highway Patrol still had charges pending against Bedell.
