Kearney,NE : Kearney woman involved in three-vehicle crash on Highway 30 cited with possessing drugs on December, Tuesday 19th 2017
A Kearney woman was cited for allegedly possessing drugs following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon west of Kearney.
At 3:31 p.m., Alyssa Bourbon, 21, was driving west on U.S. Highway 30 in a 2002 Jeep Liberty as Jessica McDonald, 32, also of Kearney was driving a 2008 Dodge Caravan and was slowing to turn left onto 46th Avenue. A Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office report says Bourbon had allegedly just set her cruise control and didn’t see McDonald slowing in front of her.
Bourbon’s Jeep hit the back of McDonald’s vehicle, pushed it across the centerline and into eastbound traffic where McDonald’s vehicle hit a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by James Kriha, 52, of rural Ravenna head on.
The crash caused Bourbon’s vehicle to overturn and come to rest on the shoulder of Highway 30. Following an investigation, Bourbon was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.
