Hardin County, KY : 3-year-old flown to Houston following Hardin County crash on Friday, 18th January 2019

A 3-year old was seriously injured in a Friday afternoon crash in Hardin County.
Preliminary reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety say the 1:15 p.m. single-vehicle crash occurred 7 miles north of Silsbee on FM 92.Troopers report that a 2005 Jeep Liberty was traveling northbound on FM 92 when it attempted to legally pass a slower-moving vehicle. The Jeep's left rear tire blew out, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, 17-year-old Nicholas Gallo of Spurger, sustained visible injuries but refused medical treatment at the crash scene. A front passenger was not injured, Gallo's 3-year-old son in the back seat helicoptered to a Houston hospital with serious injuries. Authorities said the child was not properly secured in his car seat.
This crash remains under investigation.
