STEUBENVILLE, OH : A Weirton man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash on Monday, August 7, 2017

A Weirton man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash around 4:17 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 22.

Anthony J. Bernabei, 21, was traveling east on Route 22 when he drove off the north edge of the roadway and struck the guardrail, according to officials with the Steubenville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Bernabei was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Toronto EMS, Steubenville Police Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
