Naples, FL : Elderly Naples man dies and teen injured in head-on crash near Everglades Boulevard in Collier County on Sunday evening, Nov 15, 2015

An elderly Naples man died, and a teen suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash in Collier County Sunday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Buick driven by an 82-year-old Naples man was heading east on Golden Gate Boulevard when it collided with an oncoming vehicle while attempting to pass another vehicle. The crash happened just after 6 p.m. near Everglades Boulevard.

The man has not been identified pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the oncoming vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Jesus Mora, was taken to North Collier Hospital in serious condition.
