CRANSTON, RI : Elderly man killed in head-on Cranston crash on Monday, 17th July 2023

A 90-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash in Cranston on Monday afternoon.

Police said James Andoscia, of Cranston, was driving a Hyundai toward the rotary on Atwood Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. when he crossed the center turn lane and hit a Dodge pickup truck head-on near Wayland Avenue.

Andoscia was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck was brought to Kent Hospital with minor injuries.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.
