Nashville, TN : Semi driver injured in crash at on-ramp for I-24 in south Nashville early Monday morning, December 14, 2015

A semi driver was injured in a crash in south Nashville early Monday morning.

The crash happened at the on-ramp from Briley Parkway to eastbound Interstate 24.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police on scene said the driver took the turn too fast, causing the truck to overturn.

The ramp has reopened for now, but tow trucks will be back at the scene around 9 a.m. to remove the semi.

Items from the cargo will have to be removed before the truck can be up-righted.
