GRAY COURT, SC : South Carolina Highway Patrol said a deadly collision on Tuesday, May 30, 2017

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a deadly collision on Tuesday is under investigation.

Troopers said the crash occurred on Highway 101 near Durbin Church Road around 7:45 a.m. The driver of a 2005 Chevy Pickup crossed the center line and hit the driver of an SUV head-on, troopers said.

The Laurens County Coroner's Office confirmed two victims were killed in the collision. A coroner identified the victims as 26-year-old Matthew Cudd of Roebuck and 35-year-old Rebecca Davis of Woodruff.'

Cudd wasn't wearing a seat belt and succumbed to injuries at the hospital after being transported from the scene.

The coroner said both victims were entrapped and suffered blunt force trauma.
