A mother and daughter were killed in a car crash in Jackson County, Monday.
Ann Cory Braswell, 63, of Spartanburg, and her mother Earlene Cory, 85, of Spartanburg were hit by a 20-year-old driver, of Franklin, head on, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the 20-year-old, traveling South on US 23, crossed the center line and hit the victim’s vehicle, that was traveling North.
The 20-year-old was hurt and flown to Mission Hospital, reports say.
The young woman who was airlifted was about six months pregnant, WFSC radio reported.
Troopers say no charges have been filed in the accident yet. They are waiting on the autopsy to present to the District Attorney to determine if charges should be filed or not.
