Council Bluffs, IA : A Mondamin woman died and two people were injured after a car crash on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018

A Mondamin woman died and two people were injured after a car crash Wednesday morning in Harrison County, according to authorities.

Marie Carveth Bryan, 74, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Modale residents Deborah Davey, 62, and Scott Davey, 61, were transported to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha by medical helicopter.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Bryan was driving northbound on Austin Avenue near 307th Street at about 11:14 a.m. when she attempted to pass two semitrucks.

Deborah Davey was driving southbound on Austin Avenue when Bryan’s vehicle collided head on with theirs. Both vehicles came to a stop in the southbound lane on the west shoulder of the roadway.
