Orange County, FL : Three injured in a crash involving a fire truck on Saturday night, July 26, 2014
Orlando police are looking for a driver after a crash involving a fire truck sent three people to the hospital.
According to officers, the crash happened late Saturday night after a car and an Orlando Fire Department engine collided at an intersection.
Police say they tried to get the driver to pull over in the area of Columbia Street and Goldwyn Avenue.
The driver started to stop but then took off speeding, and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Bethune Drive and Columbia Street.
An Orlando Fire Department crew was responding to an emergency call, and then crashed into the car, according to a report.
The three passengers of the vehicle were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, while two Orlando Fire Department employees in the fire engine stated they had minor neck injuries.
Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of the accident by foot.
