Indianapolis, IN : Two dead, Two hurt after SUVs crash head-on in fiery on Saturday night, August 9, 2014
Authorities say a fiery, alcohol-related crash has left two people dead and two others injured in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis police say the crash Saturday night on the city's far northeast side killed 50-year-old David Foster of Indianapolis and 28-year-old Whitney Foster of Fortville.
A 49-year-old woman also riding in their SUV is hospitalized in serious condition. Indianapolis Fire Department Capt. Rita Reith says the three are believed to be a couple and their daughter.
Investigators believe a second SUV driven by 22-year-old Paige Byers of Noblesville went left of center, struck the Fosters' SUV head-on and caught fire. Bystanders helped Byers from her burning vehicle and she was treated for minor injuries. She has been jailed on three preliminary drunken driving charges. It's not clear whether she has an attorney.
