Forrest County, MS : 2 killed in wreck involving Forrest County deputy on Saturday, 26th January 2019

Two people were killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle accident involving a Forrest County Sheriff's Department deputy.Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman Ryan Moore said the accident occurred just before 6 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 49 and Edwards Street.

The deputy was transported to a local hospital to be treated for what were believed to be minor injuries.

The other victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released, Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem said Sunday morning.
