Pickens, SC : 21-year-old woman dies after tractor-trailer crash in Highway 123 Easley on Tuesday October 11 2016
A 21-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night when the car she was driving crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. on Highway 123 in Easley.
Troopers say it happened near Old Easley Highway and the Greenville Pickens Speedway.
Mary Gorman, of Easley, died from blunt force trauma on the way to Greenville Memorial Hospital, Coroner Kandy Kelley said. She was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers said the tractor-trailer made a right turn on Highway 124 from Highway 123 and the car ran into the back of it.
The 37-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, troopers said.
