Laredo, TX : One person killed in single-vehicle car wreck on Santa Maria Avenue in Laredo on Sunday, March 13, 2016

A person has died in a single-vehicle crash on Santa Maria Avenue near Del Mar Boulevard, according to police.

LPD said the vehicle crashed at about 6 p.m. The vehicle split in half and burst into flames after the impact under the Mines Road overpass.

One fatality was confirmed.
