Clayton, NC :Clayton motorcycle accident leaves mom injured, son dead on Thursday, July 9th 2015

A 23-year-old man died and his mother received non-life threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident Thursday night in Clayton.The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said around 10:45 p.m., Dylan Lee Drayton, 23, of Charlotte, was traveling on McLemore Road on black 2003 Suzuki motorcycle with his mother as a passenger.
The motorcycle ran off the road to the right and hit a ditch and flipped.Emergency responders found Drayton and his mother, Deidre Wolfe, 44, of Clayton, with obvious injuries.Drayton had to be revived while being transported to WakeMed.He later died at the hospital.Wolfe was also transported to WakeMed where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.Wolfe told investigators Drayton was traveling too fast for the curve and ran off the road near Cleveland Fire Road.
