Reading, PA : Police investigating cause of accident in Mount Penn on Friday, 26th August, 2016

Police are investigating what caused a Boyertown woman to crash into a utility pole in Mount Penn.

The accident happened shortly after noon Friday in the 2700 block of Perkiomen Avenue.
Central Berks Regional police Officer Joshua D. Steingraber said 31-year-old Deena Piccarreta of Boyertown slammed her vehicle into a telephone pole after swerving to avoid stopped traffic at the intersection of Perkiomen and St. Lawrence avenues. She ended up striking the vehicle in front of her before hopping a curb and shearing the utility pole.
