A two-year-old was hospitalized after her mother crashed on I-24 Thursday morning while trying to avoid a piece of steel in the road, McCracken County Sheriff's deputies said.
Deputy Dwayne Pickett said Samantha Trevathan was driving west in a 2002 Trailblazer on the I-24 bridge, when she swerved to miss the steel in the road.
