LOUISVILLE, KY : 5 people injured after crash involving ambulance in downtown Louisville on Monday, 16th November, 2020

Five people, including a 3-year-old child, were injured early Monday morning after a crash involving an ambulance in downtown Louisville.
The crash happened sometime around 2:30 a.m. near Norton Children's Hospital, according to Dwight Mitchell with Louisville Metro Police (LMPD).
Following their investigation, police believe a New Chapel Indiana EMS ambulance was heading east on Chestnut St. when it failed to yield the right of way and ran into a car that had come off the exit from I-65N onto Brook St.The crash caused the ambulance to fall onto its side. There was a 3-year-old patient in the back of the ambulance, along with the child's mother and an EMT. The child was taken to Norton Children's Hospital in another ambulance and police said the child sustained minor injuries.
Everyone else involved - the child's mother, the EMT, the driver of the ambulance and the driver of the other car - also sustained minor injuries.
