Orange County, FL : 81-year-old Brevard County man died vehicle crash on Wednesday morning September 23 2015

81-year-old Brevard County man died Wednesday morning when the vehicle he was riding in collided with another in east Orange County.

Troopers say the crash happened about 8:25 a.m. on State Road 520 at State Road 528, when a 2013 Nissan sport-utility vehicle turned left into the path of a Chevrolet passenger car.

The Chevrolet then collided with the right side of the SUV, where Willie Parks was sitting in the passenger's seat, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Parks of Rockledge was taken to an Orlando hospital, where he died.

Patrick Vanlandingham, 34, of Casselberry was driving the Chevrolet and taken to the hospital with serious injuries, troopers said.

The SUV's driver, 34-year-old Kimbery Thomas, also of Rockledge, wasn't injured.

Troopers said charges are pending and an investigation is ongoing.

SR 520 was closed for several hours as crews worked to clean up the wreck.
