GRAND RAPIDS, MI : 17-year-old girl killed in crash on Knapp Street on Monday, 11th December 2023

A teen is dead after getting hit by a car near East Beltline in Grand Rapids Monday evening, the Kent County Sheriff's Office confirms.

Deputies say a 17-year-old girl was walking near the area of the 3700 block of Knapp Street NE when she was hit by a car around 5 p.m.

First responders tried to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
