Poinsett County, AR : 41-year-old Amy Yates dead in in 2-vehicle crash on Arkansas Highway 163 in Poinsett County on Tuesday, April 7, 2015

A Cross County woman was killed in a crash involving 2 vehicles in Poinsett County.

Amy Yates, 41, of Cherry Valley was killed in the crash Tuesday night, according to Arkansas State Police.

ASP states the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Arkansas Highway 163 south about a mile south of Arkansas Highway 14.

The crash report indicates Yates was traveling north on 163 when she crossed over into the southbound lane and hit a vehicle driven by Brittany Smith of Harrisburg head on.

Smith was taken to a Jonesboro hospital in unknown condition.
