Sidney, OH : Teenager injured in one-vehicle crash on Wednesday

A Sidney teenager was injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday, Oct. 26.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, CareFlight was called to the scene of the accident on Pence Road and transported Nicholas Garrett, 17, of Sidney, to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, where he is listed in serious condition.
The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 3:24 p.m. in regards to a personal injury crash involving a pickup truck, which struck a tree. Preliminary investigation revealed that Garrett was northbound on Pence Road near Johnson Slagle road when the truck slid off the right side of the road and struck the tree.
Assisting at the scene were Perry Port Salem Rescue, Port Jefferson Fire and Sidney Fire and Rescue.
