Motorcyclist dies in 110 Freeway solo crash in Pasadena California

A motorcyclist was killed this morning in a crash on the Pasadena (110) Freeway in Chinatown, authorities said.The accident on the southbound side of the freeway at College Street was reported just before 1 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.A woman who was a passenger in a car that struck the victim’s empty motorcycle helmet, which then became stuck under the vehicle, told a news photographer at the scene that she saw two other vehicles strike the downed rider without stopping.Wreckage of the bike and the victim’s remains were scattered across lanes, the photographer reported.All southbound lanes of the freeway were closed following the crash and traffic was diverted at Hill Street. The lanes were reopened around 3:10 a.m., Kimball said.
