Port Byron, IL : Cordova man killed in crash in Port Byron on Saturday, October 29, 2016

The man killed Saturday morning when his truck turned over in Port Byron has been identified as Dillon T. Goeller, 23, of Cordova.

The Rock Island County Sheriff's Department was called for a single-vehicle crash about 7:30 a.m. on Rock Island County Route 2 and 229th Street Circle North, in Port Byron, according to a news release. The 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck was westbound on Route 2 when it left the road and flipped over.

The driver, who was not identified in the release, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson confirmed Mr. Goeller's identity Saturday evening.
