Bristol, CT : One person died after fatal motorcycle crash at an intersection in Bristol on Friday morning, Oct 16, 2015
Police have identified a Connecticut motorcyclist who was hit and killed by a car last week.
Police say Matthew Cote died Friday night at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, about 10 hours after the collision. The 56-year-old Middletown man was not wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury during the crash.
Police say Cote was riding on a 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide when a 2001 Buick Century crashed into him Friday morning at an intersection in Bristol.
The Buick made a full stop at the stop sign before colliding with the motorcycle. Officials did not say if Cote came to a full stop.
Police say 81-year-old Claire Nocera, of Bristol, was driving the Buick. She was not injured. Authorities did not say if Nocera is facing charges.
