TRAVERSE CITY, MI : Two men sent to hospital after crash on Sunday, 18th September 2016
Two men were sent to Munson Medical Center for treatment after a crash in Elmwood Township.
A Leelanau County sheriff's deputy was parked near the intersection of Bugai and Fouch roads Sunday at 7 p.m. when a black 2005 Acura traveling west on Fouch Road failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed into the intersection. The vehicle was struck on the side by a GMC pickup truck, a release said.
The truck flipped onto its side and the car was pushed off to the northwest side of the intersection, the release said.
The driver of the Acura, an 85-year-old Florida man, was sent to Munson Medical Center for treatment for serious injuries and is in critical condition. The driver of the GMC, a 35-year-old Mesick man, was also sent to Munson but his injuries were non-life threatening
