WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC : 1 killed in Williamsburg County ATV crash on Sunday, 26h May 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed the driver of an ATV Sunday night.

The crash happened at approximately 11:54 p.m. on Secondary Highway 559 near Bay Avenue, about nine miles west of Andrews, Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said.

Troopers say a 2018 Yamaha Raptor ATV was traveling west on Highway 559 when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle was its only occupant and died at the scene, she said.
