Barre, VT : Hardwick man cited in weekend accident on Saturday, 3rd September 2016

A Hardwick man is accused of driving drunk.

Vermont State Police say they responded to a two-car crash on Route 2 in East Montpelier Saturday night. Police say Joseph Yeskis, 56, was driving west when he tried to pass a vehicle in front of him.

Police say Yeskis hit the vehicle and went off the road, severing a light pole. Police did not say who was driving the other vehicle.

Police report that a preliminary breath test showed Yeskis had a blood alcohol content of 0.202 percent. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court on Sept. 22 to answer the charge.
