St. Petersburg, FL : SUV driver injured in Gandy Bridge crash with school bus on early Wednesday, August 13, 2014

Emergency services were on the scene of a crash between a school bus and a minivan on the Gandy Bridge early Wednesday. The crash was reported about 8:30 a.m. A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said the bus was privately owned, and no students were on board. The vehicle's driver had to be extricated and was taken to a nearby hospital, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Steve Lawrence said.
