Milwaukee,WI : Family remembers MCTS bus driver killed by suspected drunken driver on may, wednesday 24th 2017
A Milwaukee County bus driver has died, two weeks after he was hit by a suspected drunken driver.
Family and friends of Anthony Jamal are still coming to grips with his passing.
"No matter what your situation was, he could relate to it, he could help you," said his daughter, Bianca Jamal. "He always had advice for people. He was just that loving caring person, very helpful."
Anthony Jamal had several nicknames. At MCTS where he drove a bus, he was AJ.
After 22 years behind the wheel, he wasn't even close to slowing down.
"Very rarely did he call in. Very rarely did he miss work at all," Bianca Jamal said. "He took pride in what he did. He actually loved what he did."
He walked to a bus stop every day to get to work. That's what he was doing May 4 when a suspected drunken driver hit him near 107th Street and Bradley Road.
