Bullhead City, AZ : Fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 95 on Thursday, January, 25th 2018
A motorcyclist is dead after crashing his bike Thursday afternoon on Highway 95. Police are investigating the crash, said Emily Fromelt, department spokeswoman. Traffic officers reported a 58-year-old man was riding his motorcycle northbound on Highway 95 at noon when he lost control and crashed at Pass Canyon Road near Community Park. The man was taken by ambulance to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators believe that the motorcyclist may have suffered a medical episode, Fromelt said. Speed and alcohol are not contributing factors in the crash. No other vehicles were involved and the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, Fromelt said. The man’s name will be released once next of kin have been notified. Both southbound lanes of Highway 95 were closed for nearly an hour and a half as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Crews diverted southbound traffic to the inside northbound lane around the crash.
